Do I neeed a Guided Meditation?

What is a guided meditation? Do I need a guided meditation at all? These and other questions are being asked frequently and my answer to this question is that it varies from person to person.

On the other it is an important argument, that subliminal programming is considered a vital aspect in a guided meditation. With the guided meditation, your guide can give you positive affirmations on a desired topic.

Maybe you are someone who can turn off the thoughts in your head very fast in a quiet surrounding and feel rather bothered by someone talking to you.

You are able to relax with meditation music very fast and you have made the experience for yourself already. Your quality of imagination is very high meaning you are able to visualize easily. Then you probably wouldn’t want or need someone to visualize for you and guide you through your meditation.

This all depends on your current state of being, your experiences in meditation and if you would want to reprogram an aspect of your life right now. Everyone is able to meditate and it doesn’t matter how, there is no rule except the one that it should suit you.

Guided meditations can be experienced from a guided meditation record or in a meditation class. Yoga teachers will also guide you through a meditation in the beginning and or the end of a class, depending on the yoga class you take



Easy tips when you start a meditation:


  1. In guided meditations your guide will ask you to sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
  2. Relax in such a way that you will not be disturbed. Turn off your phone and make sure you’re in a place where you are feeling secure.
  3. Make sure the room is in a comfortable temperature and light is dimmed so that you can relax properly.
  4. Your body will slightly cool down when in a relaxed state so you might want to have a blanket ready and wear some socks during the meditation.

It is all about practice in our life so if you just started with meditation don’t beat yourself up if your success isn’t what you expected it to be.

Maybe you had too many thoughts wandering around in your mind. That’s normal and absolutely ok. Our brain is built to think. It is a matter of your capacity of visualization. This is a simple matter of regular practice and can be learned easily.

You can send your thoughts on a trip like clouds passing by. There are many ways handling and even playing your thoughts and you might find out in time and practice what suits you best.


The power of visualization

When you are in a state of deep relaxation your subconscious mind will be open for positive suggestions and affirmations. This is the moment, when a guided meditation comes to it’s entitled reason to be done.

The meditation guide can bring you closer to your wished suggestions and affirmations. When this is done regularly, you will see the positive changes in your life.

You will feel a sense of relaxation and centeredness in many aspects of your life. Altogether you will start walking through your life in a total different way, encounter situations more consciously and enjoyable. All in all this is truly an effortless way to transform your sense of self in many positive ways.

In conclusion we can say, that you can make positive changes following a guided meditation. You can make meditations which are 5 minutes only and up to one hour. The usual practice that I can recommend is about 15 to 20 minutes.

The benefits of a meditation are clearly that you will feel refreshed, rejuvenated and more relaxed. You will gain a self consciousness of your body that can help you in times of stress and you can train yourself to center yourself when in a moment of stress.
